They assume that as long as the product is legal for sale it will be fine. The decision between two products comes down to price, availability and energy efficiency ‘lumens per watt’.

And yet, we know a car may have a low fuel consumption on paper and be safe under normal driving conditions. But where, when and how you drive that car will make the world of difference to efficiency, reliability and life time costs. It’s the same for the lights.
