About Professor Hicks

Professor David Hicks is principal investigator and full professor at the INSERM U.592, Strasbourg, France.

After receiving his PhD in London, he did postdoctoral fellowships in Vancouver Canada and New York USA before moving to Paris, France where he was recruited as a research scientist for INSERM (the french equivalent of the NIH).

His work has long been focused on the visual system, with a special interest in blinding diseases. Since joining the Neuroscience Institute in Strasbourg France, he has been working on the interplay between visual health and the circadian clock.
